The Remix "It's All About Red Part II"
The last post I made my declaration that April was all about Red and I'm continuing that theme in this one. Here is a different take on red as more of an accent piece to a black backdrop. This is also a bit more work friendly for those readers who do have a bit more stringent restrictions. Every piece but one was purchased many years ago and all separately. By the power of stylinging all has come together and works very well in my humble opinion :) Most pieces from this look are from Forever 21 including my favorite go to black blazer from 2007 winter collection, black and white pinstripe skirt is from this fall/winter season, and the fan pendant was originally an earring from the summer collection that I transformed into a pendant and beaded together with the clear and black beads. The turtleneck is from Macy's 2007, the Nina candy apple red patent leather 2' heeled shoes were from the clearance rack at DSW circa 2006 and the red and pin stripe strapless top was purchased at Charlotte Russe around 2005. I love Nina shoes because even though they are known for evening wear or special events, they seem to work great as eye catching pieces for my looks as well as they do carry
5 1/2 so I am always grateful for that! These look can easily be switched up to create more of a summer look by swapping out the turtleneck for a t shirt or tank top, ditch the tights and the blazer and voila! In essence that is what this column is all about making small adjustments to your existing wardrobe and saving money on the process by just purchasing small accent pieces or staple pieces.
