I'm making April "All About Red" month. To me, spring doesn't have to mean pastels why can't it be a bold and steamy color like red? That means hot in my book! In this outfit, I have a fall 2009 collection Forever 21 red skirt (it comes in several other colors which you will see pop up in future posts) which has great and functional pockets, a black short sleeve turtleneck, black wrap sweater with great lace back detailing (I fell in love with this at Macy's, as it's a great detailed companion piece with all these lace skirts that are out now!), the silver heart pendant necklace with clear and red beads (another one of my hand-made creations) and the show stopper is the red tights with the black fish nets layers over them (the fishnets are actually knee highs!). The black with silver accent graffiti shoes I bought several years ago from DSW on clearance (around 2005) are Carlos Santana which has easily become one of my favorite brands as it stocks sizes starting at 5 which is hard to find as my feet are 5 1/2 so I have better odds at landing my size as they have at least more than 2 in stock! This outfit is all in the small detailing when you are walking down the street I guarantee it will turn a few heads but maybe it's just the great pop of red!
