Scintillating Sunday: 5 Must See Series

Post number twelve in my #30IN30 challenge is my top five television series that everyone should catch up on or re-watch! A perfect date night for those on a budget or anyone who has watched all that’s on demand! Cue up your Netflix, I-Tunes or visit your local library and pick these series up right now!

1.       The Wire – This series is by far my favorite series of all-time. The writing, acting and small details is what makes this drama from HBO about Baltimore, MD must see television. You will be hooked and watch all five seasons very quickly!

2.       Six Feet Under – Another HBO series is a dark comedy about a funeral home business but far exceeds morbid talk about caskets and burials! This series was creator Alan Ball’s first series prior to True Blood.

3.       Soul Food – This Showtime series picks up where the movie left off with dramatic and heart-warming performances from this ensemble cast about family and life in Chicago.

4.       The Shield – The FX drama was a ground-breaking cop drama, based in Los Angeles, by pushing the envelope of racy and grittiness for a basic cable show.

5.       Luther – The BBC America detective show has a British perspective set in London with its wit and charm. A plus is its leading man is Idris Elba, who was a primetime player in The Wire!

Hit me up on Twitter @Stormsez and share your thoughts on these series or future series I should list!
